READ THIS before buying anything from REVOLVE.

Full disclaimer, I’ve been a REVOLVE Ambassador for 6+ years and have been gifted AND purchased plenty of products from their online store.

I am not required to review their products, but I created this guide to help others better understand the company and its products.

You may be wondering what brands are worth trying and which ones to avoid on REVOLVE. REVOLVE is a very popular online retailer amongst influencers and fashion insiders.

I can barely remember the last time I bought an outfit inside a mall or physical retailer. Instead, I rely on online boutiques like REVOLVE for all my fashion needs. Online shopping has become a go-to for many, and REVOLVE has leaned into that experience for many shoppers.

Our REVOLVE shopping guide will help you with navigating their massive online catalog for you make the best buying decisions.

About REVOLVE

REVOLVE is an online fashion retailer started in the US in 2003 by tech-duos Michael Mente and Mike Karanikolas. They combined their backgrounds in technology with fashion to create a one-stop shop for all things fashion. The brand started out of their home in Buena Park, California, with $50,000.

Today, Revolve Clothing is owned by Revolve Group, Inc. and is a publicly traded company on the New York Stock Exchange under the ticker symbol RVLV.

REVOLVE was one of the first companies to utilize influencer marketing. To date, they still rely on influencer marketing by offering products to bloggers and content creators or inviting them to events, such as Coachella.

Currently, they have over 1 million products in their catalog, including higher-end brands and more affordable in-house brands. Their products range from tops, bottoms, dresses, swimwear, footwear, accessories, and even skincare and beauty. It’s a one-stop shop for many products and brands.

They also created a sister retail brand, FWRD, for certified luxury labels such as Chloe, Saint Lauren, and Givenchy. REVOLVE is similar to Nordstrom. FWRD would be similar to Saks Fifth Avenue.

Things You Should Know About REVOLVE

Here are some things to know about REVOLVE.

REVOLVE offers in-house and other major brands in its catalog. See their complete list of in-house brands here.

Below, we’ll go over REVOLVE Pros and Cons.

REVOLVE Pros

  • A great place for fashion inspiration! I am always perusing REVOLVE for upcoming fashion trends and what to wear on my upcoming trips and events. They offer curated collections. I typically go for their Chic & Sophisticated, Festival, and my favorite, Vacation Shop.
  • They always offer free shipping AND returns. Shipping is very fast (often received within 2-3 days). A return label is included in your package.
  • Sizing varies depending on the brand and styles. It’s best to read product reviews (at the bottom of each product page) and take a look at brand size charts to determine your sizing.
  • They offer both affordable and high-priced brands. Oftentimes, if you find something that you like that is out of your budget, there may be a more affordable option. In their product listings, you’ll see a section listing similar styles. I recommend checking out those styles to find a similar silhouette that fits your budget.
  • Wishlist feature! I love using this feature to “heart” products that I am eyeing. Create a wishlist to keep track of items you may want to purchase.
  • Daily Uploads! REVOLVE uploads new products into their catalog every day! Check out their NEW TODAY section for new products.
  • AMAZING customer service! You can easily reach their CS by phone, email, or live chat. They will go above and beyond to get you the products or information that you need. I have been extremely impressed with their CS team.

REVOLVE Cons

  • Short return window – They offer a 30-day return window, which is shorter than their competitors, such as Nordstrom or Shopbop.
  • Sizing is inconsistent and often runs small. But some pieces may run larger depending on where they source the product. I typically buy multiple sizes and return the ones that don’t fit. For reference, I am a size M or L in most REVOLVE fashion brands. I am 5’5″, 170 pounds, and wear a size 7/38 shoe.
  • Overpriced Pieces – Some pieces may have subpar quality not commesurate to the high price point. Luckily, REVOLVE offers free returns for US orders.
  • REVOLVE is, unfortunately, a fast fashion brand. There is not much advertised on their website about manufacturing practices and many of their pieces are often made in China.
  • International Returns incur a fee.

My REVOLVE Favorites

Honestly, I have found SO MANY favorites shopping at REVOLVE. To help you get an idea of what has really worked for me, here are my TOP purchases to date. I also linked posts of me wearing the item.

    1. Michael Costello Paris Gown ($329) – Fits true to size and can be worn multiple ways. Currently available in black, but it has been offered in a nude and blush shade. It is bulky. I wish they had made it with a thinner and lighter fabric. I created a guide on how to wear the Paris Gown. See post
